Horror is more alive than ever

The genre of horror always surprises. When it said that the horror movies stopped appearing to the public, there is always a film that triumphs at the box office. The great horror movie of 2017 is IT, which is the most watched movie of the genre in the history of the cinema. The film was so successful, that the sequel is already being produced, which will be released on September 6, 2019. Lately, the psychological horror has displaced the tons of blood that the genre had us accustumed.

The public that loves horror is very faithful to the genre and will never allow to die. The genre will continue mutating to conquer the new generations, but its essence will remain the same: produce fear. In real life, it is awful to feel fear, even if it is a great defense mechanism, but feeling scared while watching a horror movie is very pleasant and fun. We all know that everyone will die, except the star of the story, still, we want to see the film until the end, because we enjoy seeing all the vicissitudes that the protagonist lives until he kills the demon of the day.

Many horror movies are aimed at teenagers, who love the genre because they are adrenaline- ridden, something they find in this type of film. We just must to remember the Freddy movies, Friday 13th,  Halloween saga, Hellraiser, movies starred by teenagers, which reflect curiosity and rebelliousness, typical of that stage of life. The incredible thing is that they continue to make sequels od those stories, simply because they continue to like and generate money. New generations know these old monsters and they get scared and have fun with them.
